7 day General Motors weight loss & system-cleansing diet

tidbits from a news paper clipping shared to me.
Sporting Chance by Joaquin M. Henson
  • day ONE: eat all the FRUITS you want, except bananas. The program suggested consuming lots of melons, especially watermelon & cantaloupe, to prepare your body for the next 6 days.
    • suggestions: pineapple, papaya for breakfast. melon for lunch. take entire variety by dinner
    • drink at least 10 glasses of water - - a daily requirement.
  • day TWO: raw or cooked vegetables
    • suggestions: large boiled potatoes for breakfast. cabbage, string beans & carrots for lunch. kangkong for dinner
      • boiled potatoe had to be taken in the morning, for carbohydrates to provide energy & balance.
  • day THREE: combination of fruits (except bananas) & vegetables
    • no more potatoes this time, because the fruits will take care of the carbohydrates
    • add squash on the menu (rather, eat your favorites so you won't have to force yourself)
    • this stage, you'll be your comfort room's bestfriend, getting rid of liquids in the body (cleansing process)
    • theoretically, your body is now prepared to start burning excess pounds
  • day FOUR: 8 bananas & 3 glasses of (low fat) milk
    • 2 bananas + 1 glass of milk for breakfast & dinner, 3 bananas + 1 glass of milk for lunch, the other banana is reserved for merienda
      • bananas are for potassium & sodium lost during the last 3 days
    • people with sweet tooth will begin to develop a loss of craving for sweets (hahaha, yeah right)
  • day FIVE: (the worst menu) 6 whole tomatoes, cup of rice + 12 glasses of water
    • this is to cleanse the system of uric acid
    • rice = carbohydrates, tomatoes = digestion, water = purification
      • you may eat less than a cup of rice, but the 6 whole tomatoes are non negotiable
  • day SIX: cup of rice, cooked or raw vegetables
    • total weight loss
  • day SEVEN: (oh yeah, nearing the homestretch!) cup of rice, vegetables + a glass of fruit juice
you can have a "wonder" soup anytime.
the recipe: 22 oz water, 6 large onions, 2 green peppers, 3 whole tomatoes, small size cabbage & a bunch of celery with herbs & seasoning to be added as desired.
the result promised a 10 pounds off the scale.
diet.
